Course
Date: March 20, 2010
Location: 637 Panorama Way, Crestone, Co. & KCR&GC Range
Course Goal: To provide beginning shooters with the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to safely own & handle Semi-Automatics and Revolvers.
Course Lessons:

Pistol handling & shooting Safety
•
Firearm parts and their operation
•
Ammunition and its Function
•
Basic shooting Fundamentals and hands on development on the range
•
How to select, clean and store a Pistol
•
Additional training opportunities
General Course Information
Classroom 4 hours, Range 1 hour
If you do not own a Pistol both Semi-Auto & Revolvers will be available
NRA Certificate will be awarded upon completion of class
FEE; $ 60.00 ( includes $10.00 range fee KCRGC members exempt)
Plus ammunition cost
No ammunition will be allowed in the class room
NRA Certified Instructors will provide personal instruction

In The News!
- August 2009 - The Kit Carson Rod & Gun Club held a FREE youth firearms safety clinic on August 19-22, 2009. Approximately 15 students attended the four day clinic taught by John Baker, certified N.R.A. shooting instructor, Jason Surface, D.O.W. hunters education instructor and Gerald Robertson, a former Olympic shooter. A competition shoot was held on Saturday followed by a barbeque and voluntary family shoot in the afternoon. Photos from Youth Clinic...
- June 2009 - The Kit Carson Rod & Gun Club was a recipient of the Sales Tax Grants award. We received $2000 from the Youth & Seniors category.
